His hair is sea green, shoulder-length, and parted down the middle. His thick eye brows and facial hair also bear this color, and his eyes are icy blue. For clothing, Knucklestorm wears a sleeveless yellow one-piece with red and purple stripes, exposing his muscular form. He sports with a pair of big gloves and baggy pants, which are colored burgundy on the outside and green inside, and the hems of his pants are rolled up below his knees. His also wears dark gray military socks and setta sandals, and carries a two-handed sword on his back.

Biography
Early life
Some time ago, Knucklestorm was a renowned general of the Bena Rikashi Space Police; however, he grew skeptical of King Suspiro's competence as Master Kale's corruption spread within the organization.[1] When his daughter Brie Pourri announced she had joined the Space Police, he was taken aback and protested her decision. Brie went on to become a police inspector and head of the Gren Security Patrol, while Knucklestorm watched in disappointment. Soon thereafter, he was seen leaving Suspiro's palace, indicating he had talked to the king on his decision to leave the Space Police. His daughter stood by the entrance, watching her father leave and asking why he left the force, to which he answered that he no longer belonged in it, as she chased after him. Eventually, he settled in the Couscous Ruins.
Magical Starsign
As the party began their hunt for the wind gummy, King Suspiro informed them that it was deep within the Couscous Ruins. They eventually ran into Knucklestorm looking out to the sky outside the ruins, and although he was alerted by the kids' presence, he expressed relief upon realizing they were not illusions. Lassi introduced her friends for him, explaining they came from Kovomaka's Magic Academy. Knucklestorm introduced himself as a "ghost of the past," suggesting they leave him be.
On their way to find the wind gummy, the students encountered Brie Pourri, who told them she came to talk to her father, not allowing them to go further. The students refused to back down, turning their encounter into a battle, which she ultimately lost. Unable to accept defeat, Brie prepared a wind attack, only to be pushed away and scolded by her father. She tried convincing him to re-join the Space Police, but Knucklestorm saw no point in returning to such a corrupt organization, even at King Suspiro's behest. Knucklestorm pointed out that despite wanting to change the Space Police for the better, Brie was still blind to the truth. He ended their conversation by soaring off, leaving Brie to look out to the sky and reminisce.
Further inside Couscous Ruins, Knucklestorm caught up with the students, to which Sorbet explained they were searching for a millennium gummy. The ex-general warned them to leave quickly, when suddenly, the odd beetle stormed in. Before the creature could harm Knucklestorm, Brie swiftly moved him aside and promised to defeat it. However, it immobilized her by sinking a claw into her police glider. Knucklestorm leapt on the odd beetle and impaled it with his sword, ordering his daughter to unequip her protective gear. Brie remained adamant about keeping Knucklestorm safe, to which he told the students to activate her gear's emergency release. In doing so, Brie was released from the claw, but fell to the ground as the odd beetle charged at the students.
After vanquishing the creature, Brie's father held her unconscious body, with Mokka declaring her decesaed. As the students lamented, Knucklestorm recounted the losing a dear friend in the past, King Suspiro's betrayal, and now, the untimely death of his daughter. The odd beetle then began to shine, transforming into the wind gummy. Its power rained down on Brie, miraculously bringing her back to life. Relieved to see her alive again, Knucklestorm embraced Brie while the protagonist collected the gummy. Knucklestorm explained that facing King Suspiro would not be easy an easy feat, especially because he turned against the Space Police. Brie acknowledged that, but insisted they should not give up.
Once the students arrived on Shadra, they encountered several magicians hiding in Chocomilk Caves, having narrowly escaped being sacrificed to Shadra the giant larva. They were soon discovered by Kale's enigmas, to which a fleet of Space Policemen also stormed into the cave. Luckily, they were reformed troopers headed by Knucklestorm, who joined the magicians' leader Carbon in fighting the enigmas. Knucklestorm met up with the students outside Chromagar Cave, just seconds after Master Chard blew himself up, confirming their teacher Miss Madeleine was trapped inside. He promised to hold off the enigmas in the meantime, adding that robots were being deployed from Erd. After the students defeated Kale and Shadra, they said their good-byes to Madeleine, upon which Knucklestorm and Brie entered Chromagar Cave to escort them outside. They all flew back to Bena Rikashi aboard their rocket, reporting to King Suspiro before parting ways at the Spaceport.
After Magical Starsign
When Sorbet graduated from Will-o'-Wisp Academy, she enlisted in the Space Police and quickly rose through the ranks, working alongside Knucklestorm and his daughter to reform the organization.[2]
Trivia
- Knucklestorm's red, green, and yellow color scheme is meant to reflect his original Japanese name, Jifunsā, which comes from the San Fuji apple. Likewise, Brie Pourri's color scheme and Japanese name, Najo Dorūgo, are based on the Jonagold apple.
- He bears a resemblance to Bogard from the Mana series, specifically his appearance in Sword of Mana. They are both older military men with dark unruly hair and wield a longsword. Also, much like Knucklestorm, Bogard used to be affiliated with a corrupt nation until he defected.
Nomenclature
The origin of the name "Knucklestorm" is unknown, since it is not derived from a food like most other characters in the game, nor does he use his knuckles in combat. The "storm" part could possibly be in reference to his daughter's affinity for the wind starsign.
