- "Ahh... Have I made a mistake?"
- ―Biscotti
Biscotti, also known as Principal Biscotti, is a character in the Magical Vacation series. The founder and longstanding headmaster of Will-o'-Wisp Academy,[2][3] he is a legendary magician who brought magic to the Material Plane with the power of an enigma 300 years ago,[4][5] which led to the establishment of Will-o'-Wisp in Kovomaka Kingdom. However, much about him remains a mystery. It is said that Biscotti is immortal[6] and uses a magic attribute that does not normally exist.[1]
Profile
Illusive in many ways, Biscotti is a wise and adamant man with abnormal magical abilities. His motives seem to be at the expense of other people, but believes they help his pupils learn the true meaning of freedom and awaken to incredible potential.
Biscotti is a tall elderly man with silver hair, bushy eyebrows, and a curly moustache and beard. He is bald underneath his hat, which supposedly happened because he overexerted his magic.[7] For clothing, he wears a blue top hat, blue overcoat, and baggy striped trousers. His hands are gloved and he carries a wooden cane, though he is also shown to be quite nimble.

Early life
At some point, Biscotti started devoting his life to learning the secrets of magic and the universe. He eventually enrolled in Ambergris Preparatory School on Cassia,[8] where he the archmage Craaken's Book of the Darned. He also attempted the trials of Garam Masala on the Dark Plane, competing against Gyuuhi Ogura to see who could reach the furthest floor.[9] Presumably around the same time, Biscotti sealed away MD01-TANI, a magic doll created by the previous manager of Condimen Tower, within Garam Masala after a war broke out over its ownership.[10]
Around 300 years before Magical Vacation, Biscotti developed an interest in enigmas after observing their miraculous abilities.[11] This led him to the king of the enigmas, Yūvekku, who fused with his body and gave him the power to bring magic to the Material Plane.[5] To promulgate the teachings of magic, Biscotti founded Will-o'-Wisp Academy in Kovomaka Kingdom. Kerurendu eventually seized control of the enigmas in Yūvekku's absence, and launched a full-scale attack on the Material Plane. Biscotti fought back with Yūvekku's power, defeated Kerurendu, and forced him to promise never to interfere in their world again. The academy would take measures to keep students away from the enigmas for their safety, but one in five graduates still ended up fusing with enigmas and drowning in their power.[12]
