Biography
Early life
Some time ago, Grenadine inherited the Condimen Tower factory from its previous manager, White. During a certain war, he built the magic doll MD02-Bonito, whose power killed many soldiers. This distressed Grenadine so much that he withdrew Bonito from battle, and left it with his brownie friend who lived in the Pyramid on the Death Plane.
Magical Vacation
After rescuing Café au Lait from Tower of La'Roche, Balsamico tasked the party with taking Café au Lait to Condimen Tower. There, they would have Grenadine remodel Café au Lait into a magic power generator, which could recharge the magic bus and allow it to warp between planes. They proceeded through Gearava Village and up Condimen Tower, taking down invading enigmas along the way. Reaching Grenadine's workshop, the party asked him to remodel Café au Lait, to which Grenadine gave them a long series of questions. Surely enough, Grenadine was convinced they were not enigmas trying to destroy the universe, and that they wanted to save their classmates who were taken to the Dark Plane. To prove their strength, he challenged the party to fight his Tartar-chan. After defeating Tartar-chan, Grenadine remodeled Café au Lait as promised, which allowed the students to continue their adventure.
After Magical Vacation
Grenadine spent the next several years staring at the stars, to which he determined that the universe was an immaterial heart that created people, whose own hearts created the universe.[1] He eventually acquired the sole copy of Craaken's Book of the Darned to glean more knowledge about the universe. This compelled him to base his inventions more on philosophy than science, but was also aware that reading the book would curse him to death. He continued to read nonetheless, as he valued the pursuit of truth more than his own life.[2] With a new dream to fulfill, Grenadine and his crew left the Light Plane and relocated to Razen,[3] where a new Condimen Tower was built at the peak of Habañero Volcano.

Trivia
- Grenadine's design may be based off Watts from the Mana series, specifically his appearance in Legend of Mana.
- In the Japanese version of Magical Starsign, Sambal states that Grenadine built several maid robots that were modeled after felins.[4] In the English localization, Sambal simply refers to them as cleaning robots.[5] Sambal also calls Grenadine childish because he cannot wash his hair without a shower hat,[6] but in English, he calls Grenadine a softy for still bathing with a rubber ducky.[7]
Nomenclature
His name comes from grenadine, a tart red syrup used in cocktails.
