Enigmas are a species in the Magical Vacation series. They are evil beasts born of darkness that possess extraordinary powers.
Profile
Enigmas have monstrous figures, often possessing claws, hollow bodies, gaping mouths, and an insignia on their shoulders. They operate on an internal hierarchy, whereby the weaker enigmas are obedient to the stronger ones. Their existence is also unique from other species, being able to regenerate immediately after death, unless they are killed in the Abyssal Realm. Enigmas can fuse with a willing or vulnerable host, which equalizes their subconscious wavelengths and awakens the host to incredible powers.[1]
Trivia
- According to Shinichi Kameoka, the enigmas' names are nonsensical words created by Nobuyuki Inoue, who nearly broke down out of stress during Magical Vacation's development.[2]
- Enigmas make a cameo appearance in EGGLIA, localized as "enygma." Egglian enigmas speak the Enigma Language (エニグマ語Eniguma-go Enigma Language), which the player character Chabo is able to understand.
