Equillekrew is a boss character in the Magical Vacation series.
Profile
Equillekrew is an eight-limbed, bipedal yellow enigma with orange markings, tusks, and a purple stinger-like abdomen. Its eyes and mouth emit a yellow light from within his body, and the wrinkle on its back can open up to reveal a large red eye.
Boss
Equillekrew is fought as a boss at the Land of Darkness in the Abyssal Realm. He uses the dark spirit, which is strong against all other spirits except light and love, and only weak to light. He is positioned in the middle of the back row, while a beopooka and two palaneras occupy the front row.
He can use the physical skill dark bomb to strike a single party member, and potentially inflict paralysis. As for spells, Equillekrew uses black hole to hit the entire party and drain their magic points, and clear spirits to remove all spirits from the field except dark, light, and love.

Equillekrew can be fought as a miniboss in Cocoabutter Valley on Shadra, engaging in battle when the player walks into them. It uses the dark starsign, which is both weak to and strong against light, gaining its aura when Shadra emerges at night.
It uses the spells shadow die, which damages a single party member with a chance to inflict curse, and jackpot, which increases a random stat. It may also use the neutral spell celestial swap, allowing it to move the planets to its advantage.[1]

Biography
Some time ago, Equillekrew killed Kerendu to usurp his throne as king of the enigmas. Kerendu had lost his prestige after a devastating loss against Biscotti, who fused with the previous enigma king Yuvick, following an attempted attack on Kovomaka Kingdom. Unbeknownst to Equillekrew, Kerendu's plan was to continually die and reincarnate in order to become the enigma king again. With Kerendu gone, Equillekrew seized control of Kerendu's subordinates, and hatched a scheme to collapse the Material Realm by rebirthing his underlings into a powerful singular consciousness. He pursued this goal by breaking Kerendu's promise to stay out of the Material Realm, sending his underlings to attack students of Will-o'-Wisp Academy at Valencia Beach every year.
After the protagonist and their party arrived at Valencia Beach, they were ambushed by piskapooks and taken to the Light Realm. However, their teacher Miss Madeleine was taken to the Dark Realm, where she swept through a horde of enigmas demanded to see Kerendu. To her surprise, Equillekrew appeared and exclaimed that Kerendu was dead. His underlings chimed in, announcing their plans to claim the primeval magic and dwarves' technology to conquer the universe. Equillekrew invited Madeleine to fuse with him to warp between planes, to which she scoffed at his powers and warped away. Furious, Equillekrew ordered the enigmas to bring the students and Madeleine to the Dark Realm.
While the students traversed the Dark Realm, Candy Mintblue got into an argument with Olive Tearclown, learning that she was capable of reading peoples' hearts. Olive admitted that Ganache Nighthawk was searching for Kerendu, aiming to fuse with him so he could release his sister Vanilla from captivity. Candy snapped at Olive for keeping this a secret, unaware that Equillekrew was secretly watching them. While Candy was emotionally vulnerable, Equillekrew attacked and fused into her heart. Candy followed Ganache to the Abyssal Realm, where she had nightmares of a monster drenched in black tearing out of her body, and could feel her emotions spiraling out of control. Once they reached the Land of Darkness, Ganache proceeded to Drazzig Grotto while Candy stayed behind to confront the party. She erupted with anger, completely transforming into Equillekrew. As the enigma stated that the weak, feeble Candy was dead, Olive exclaimed how she could still see her friend within. This miraculously caused the fusion to break down, killing Equillekrew once he separated from his host's body. Afterwards, Madeleine told Candy that in order to de-fuse with Equillekrew, she had to release all her magic powers. Candy was sad yet content, then suddenly realized she attained an expanded state of consciousness.
