Quattro Formaggi is a character in Magical Vacation. He is a dwarf from Ufot Village in the Light Realm who got possessed by a Dab Hasnel enigma.

Biography

Magical Vacation

Around the time when the students of Will-o'-Wisp Academy were warped to the Light Realm, Quattro Formaggi came into contact with a Dab Hasnel enigma, who fused itself into his heart. Using his dwarf vessel as a disguise, he abducted Chocolat with the intent of bringing him to Iko Domnag. The protagonist and their classmates found Quattro Formaggi and Chocolat near Cold Honey Palace, but when they chased them into Rekcarc Quarry, the two had gotten away. The students were already tasked with rescuing Latte Rustynail from Tour de la Roche, so they had Cassis track down Quattro Formaggi across the Light Realm.

When the students eventually made it to Iko Domnag, Ufot Village was attacked by enigmas that fused with dwarves. When Cassis attempted to fight back, he was caught off guard by Quattro Formaggi and spirited away to the Dark Realm. Quattro also realized that even though his vessel kept him safe from the Light Realm's natural energy, dwarves were a magicless race, which hindered his enigma powers. He brought Chocolat to the Dark Realm using the dwarves' technology, but Cassis continued to pursue him through Spollacs Swamp Edge. The students managed to reunite with Cassis as he confronted Quattro, who escaped with Chocolat yet again. Cassis confirmed that an enigma possessed Quattro, meaning he could cast warp magic and flee the students whenever they gained on him.

While searching for an icy seed in Gelato Cave, the students ran into Quattro yet again, who prepared to fight them while their stamina was low. Cassis noticed that Chocolat was not with him, but when he demanded to know where his classmate was taken, he unleashed his true form as Dab Hasnel. He prepared to attack, when Cider hurried in and stopped him with a yellow rose spell. Dab Hasnel warped away, with Cassis remarking that because his enigma form was weakened, he will assimilate to Quattro Formaggi's original personality for a while. As the students proceeded through the Dark Realm, Quattro led Chocolat through the Eastern Forest up to the Mt. Morbier volcano.

Along the way there, Miss Madeleine, Ganache, and Cabernet learned from a pyrite that Quattro's plan was to boil Chocolat in the volcano. This would cause his earthen body to crumble and expose his gemstone heart, which Dab Hasnel could fuse into himself and obtain powerful magic. Once Madeleine caught up to them, the students watched as she ordered the dwarf to let Chocolat go, then blasted him with a spacelight spell. Quattro appeared to be unconscious while the class celebrated Chocolat's return, until he stood back up and unleashed his Dab Hasnel form. Luckily for the students, Madeleine cast another spacelight to kill both Quattro Formaggi and Dab Hasnel for good, wishing them the best when they reincarnate.

Nomenclature

His name comes from quattro formaggi, meaning "four cheese" in Italian, and usually refers to pizza topped with four types of cheese.
