Biography

Early life

At some point, Ginger was appointed the chief of Masala Chai Village after their previous leader died while searching for the icy seed, the remedy for ooze fever, in Gelato Cave on Ice Island. The previous leader, and the leader before that, were killed by the hailcrab, so Ginger ordered that Gelato Cave be off-limits to the villagers. However, when Mace's parents caught the ooze fever, Ginger refused to search for an icy seed to save them. To avoid taking responsibility, he started a rumor that Mace was a demon who cursed his parents with the disease, and had him exiled from Masala Chai after they died. Feeling bad for Mace, Ginger's daughter Cinnamon paid him visits at his house on the village's outskirts, often without Ginger's knowledge.
