Kerurendu is a character and the final boss of Magical Vacation. Hundreds of years ago, he was the king of the enigmas after its previous king, Yūvekku, fused with Biscotti. Kerurendu attempted to invade Kovomaka Kingdom on the Material Plane, but was defeated by Biscotti and disgraced by the other enigmas. Since then, he has continued to willingly die and reincarnate in hopes of being reborn as the enigmas' king.

Profile

In his "ominous creature" form, Kerurendu is a grotesque, bulbous green creature with rough skin, whose head is stumpy with hollow eye sockets and orange tendrils. A large red eye is located on his front, which can shoot laser beams and emit clouds of smoke. His body has four yellow protrusions, which seem to act as joints for his four disembodied limbs. These limbs, known as boo hand, tesla hand, wish hand, and slash hand, act independently from Kerurendu and use poison, thunder, love, and blade magic respectively.

In his true form, Kerurendu's head, arms, and upper body are skeletal with several holes and orange markings. He has two jagged devil wings on his head, and two larger wings on his back with large cavities and teeth that resemble animal jawbones. His lower torso is bright orange with apparent muscles, which extends into an entanglement of thick yellow-purple tendrils that writhe when he attacks.

Biography

Early life

Three hundred years ago, Kerurendu was a subordinate of the enigma king Yūvekku. After Biscotti fused with Yūvekku to bring magic to the Material Plane, Kerurendu took control of the enigmas and launched an attack against Kovomaka Kingdom. With Yūvekku's power, Biscotti defeated Kerurendu and made him promise to never interfere with the Material Plane ever again. This loss was so detrimental to Kerurendu's prestige that the lower-ranking enigmas stopped obeying him, so to regain his power, he allowed himself to be killed by Equillekrew and cycle through repeated reincarnation. That way, he could be reborn as the enigmas' king and collapse the Material Plane from within.
