Varukaneira is a boss character in Magical Vacation. He is an enigma with the power to shapeshift, which he uses to transform into Arancia Scorenote and deceive Pistachio Maplewood.

Profile

Varukaneira is a bulky teal blue enigma with two arms and tendrils along his lower body. His skin is blue with orange markings, and several horns protrude from his back.

Biography

Magical Vacation

Shortly after arriving on the Light Plane, the protagonist entered the Forest Cave with Pistachio, who picked up Arancia's scent. To their relief, Arancia was inside the cavern, though Pistachio was quick to point out her unusual behavior. Arancia tried coercing Pistachio into performing fusion, whereby he would unlock great power by merging his body with an enigma's. However, before she could make contact with him, Kirsch and a second Arancia rushed in and stopped her. Kirsch warned the others that the suspicious Arancia was actually an enigma in disguise, forcing the enigma to reveal its true form as Varukaneira. When Varukaneira attempted to fight the students and lost, he warped Kirsch away to a secluded part of the cavern to claim his body as a vessel.

The three remaining students made haste to Torūna Village where they reunited with Ganache. They followed a tunnel beneath a villager's house to find Kirsch being tortured by Varukaneira, to which Ganache demanded he stop. To the students' shock, Ganache exclaimed he did not come to save Kirsch, but rather, offered to be Varukaneira's fusion host instead. As Varukaneira rejoiced, Ganache tested his worth by casting a dark spell, miraculously killing the enigma in one blow.
