Pizza, also known as Pizza the Warp Dude, is a character in Magical Vacation and Magical Starsign. Hailing from the 4th dimension, he is a peculiar boy who manages the Warp Shop and registers warp points for customers.

Profile

Pizza has mannerisms like that of a stage magician and talks with a charming, upbeat tone. However, those who use his Warp Shop known him for his capriciousness and impatience. He is obsessed with pinecones and sugarstars, the main currencies of his service.

Pizza is a short teal-skinned humanoid with red eyes and pink lips. He dons a big blue hat, a red robe, and brown shoes. He also carries a cane in his right hand.

Gameplay

By interacting with Pizza's blue hat in certain locations, he will invite the player to register the location as a Warp Point on the world map. In Magical Vacation, he asks for five pinecones, while in Magical Starsign, he asks for one sugarstar. Selecting Warp Points on the world map will instantly warp the party near his hat. However, the party can only warp to Warp Points within the plane or planet they are currently on.

Biography

Early life

Pizza supposedly once lived in the fourth dimension, but moved to the common dimension after becoming obsessed with pinecones and opened his Warp Shop. He started using his powers of omnipresence to help people quickly travel across the universe, asking for pinecones as payment.[2]

Magical Vacation

While the protagonist and Pistachio were exploring Mimolette Forest on the Light Plane, they encountered Pizza outside Forest Cave. He gave them a map of light and taught them how to utilize Warp Points. The party would encounters Pizza several more times on their adventures across the Light Plane, Dark Plane, and Death Plane.

Magical Starsign

After the protagonist and Lassi escaped Gumbo Gaol on Erd, they spotted Pizza in the Forgotten Land. He told them how to warp using the world map, and met with their other classmates in many places throughout the Baklava solar system.

Trivia

  • In the English fan translation of Magical Vacation, Pizza's species encyclopedia entry takes considerable liberty from the original Japanese version. The title ワープ屋さん Wāpu Ya-san (Warp Shopkeeper) was changed to "Warphat", while the entry itself was changed to "Only one member of this species has been observed, a pinecone obsessed Warphat who goes by the name Pizza. It is able to warp to any dimension with its hat."

Nomenclature

His name comes from pizza, an Italian dish made with dough, cheese, and other flavorful toppings.
