Cassis Lumberyard[a] is a party member in Magical Vacation who attends Will-o'-Wisp Academy and specializes in blade magic. He has connections to an underground society, as his late father once held authority over it.

Cassis is the ninth classmate to be recruited by the party, joining at Spollacs Swamp Edge. His initial levels are level 18 and magic level 11.
His element is blade, represented by the spirit Edgy. Its spells are strictly single-target and have high base strength, but can only target enemies in the front row.[1]

Cassis's special power retrieves all discarded gummy frogs when recruiting a blade spirit.

Personality[edit | edit source]
Cassis is snide and sometimes rude, but takes part in lighthearted hobbies like potato peeling and cooking. Aside from being rather edgy, he is outgoing with women and has a clever sense of humor. He also never backs down from fights, even if the odds are not in his favor.[1]
Appearance[edit | edit source]
His hair is silver in color and reaches down to his ankles, and his eyes are mauve purple. For clothes, he wears a sleeveless violet jumpsuit with three red pockets on either leg, and red leg openings. Over the jumpsuit is a red vest with silver buckles, and a small pouch is slung over his shoulder. His arms are cloaked with red lantern sleeves detached from his vest, as well as gold armlets below his shoulders. Cassis's choice of footwear is a pair of brown boots.[1]

Early life[edit | edit source]
Because his father once had power among the recluses of society, Cassis was born with connections to the underground. When Cassis was young, his father died under mysterious circumstances and the cause was kept secret from him. Cassis would often get into fights around Castle Town, but after playing with a group of impoverished children, he realized that it was futile to live in misery, and decided to be more appreciative of life. The boss of the underground organization, who was indebted to Cassis's father, stepped in as his new paternal figure and raised him to be self-sufficient. Through these teachings, Cassis learned how to grow potatoes and make dinner for his mother, who often came home late from working overtime.

Return to the Kingdom[edit | edit source]
Cassis gave everything he acquired on his adventure to the poor children in Castle Town. Completely rid of his possessions, he set out once again on his own.[1]
