Profile

Pyrites are tiny mineral cubes with L-shaped holes for faces, which emit a faint orange glow. Crystallizing naturally into cubes, they rank 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, gaining sentience by the time they are 12 millimeters (0.47 inches) big, and are excavated from the earth by brownies. However, only those produced in Toptoh Mines in the Dark Realm are given life. Despite appearing to be solid, pyrites can actually change the shape of their body on command, able to make themselves round or spiky. In Japanese, their dialogue is written entirely in Hiragana and Katakana characters using Café au Lait Font. Pyrites also end sentences with the character プ pu, or substitute う ~u characters with ぷ pu. For example, they say うちゅうせん uchūsen (spaceship) as ちゅうせん puchūsen.

In Magical Starsign, pyrites are named after phonetic corruptions of phrases that reflect their personalities. Yerpushin Yerluk (you're pushing your luck) will warn people not to get on their bad side, or Wantza Layaroun (wants to lay around) is unmotivated and talks lazily.

Pyrite
A strange little person living inside the stone giant on the earth planet, Erd, in the town of Uponisbak. You can talk to Pyrites and equip them like accessories, but they provide no real benefit in that sense. You can, however, sell them at a shop for a considerable price, proving their worth as a valuable asset when short on cash.
