Brownies Inc. is a Japanese video game software development company based in Kichijoji, Tokyo, founded by former Brownie Brown (presently 1-Up Studio) president and Magical Vacation series character designer Shinichi Kameoka. On May 11, 2025, it became a subsidiary of Toshima-based video game publisher MUTAN.

Brownies was established on November 15, 2012 by Shinichi Kameoka, who was previously a founder and the president of Brownie Brown before its restructuring into 1-Up Studio, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nintendo. His departure from 1-Up Studio was reportedly due to his limited creative freedom, leaving the company with long-time companion Kōji Tsuda and publicly announcing his resignation on January 31, 2013.[1] Two weeks later on February 14, Brownies officially announced the launch of their company.
On July 25, Brownies released Fantasy Life Link!, an enhanced version of Fantasy Life for the Nintendo 3DS, in collaboration with Level-5. They later received an offer from GungHo Online Entertainment producer Hiromichi Tanaka, a past colleague of Kameoka who worked on the Mana series, to develop Seventh Rebirth for mobile devices, which was released on November 17, 2016.[2]
