Suspiro, also known as King Suspiro, is a character in Magical Starsign. He rules the five planets of the Baklava solar system, and lives in the nation-state of Bena Rikashi on Puffoon.

Profile

Suspiro is neglectful of important matters despite ruling over five planets. He is also generally avoidant. He was friendly to Kale and welcomed him to his palace, but did not intervene when the public harassed him. He admits that he is not fit to be a king, but wishes to make his kingdom strong and leave a great legacy.

Suspiro is an elderly man with pale blue skin, a bald head, and blue facial hair. For clothing, he wears a layered, patterned robe with a thick feathered collar, and shoes dotted with red jewels. He wears a small funnel on his head, as well as two more on his back, which emit blue flames.

Biography

Early life

Suspiro was born as a descendent of King Panna Cotta the Pretty Smart (クフ・イダ, Kufu Ida), the first ruler of Bena Rikashi and founder of the Space Police organization.

Around ten years before the events of the game, Supiro befriended Kale for his knowledge on the world's fluctuating political climate, so much so that he alone could persuade the masses. Their companionship eventually earned Kale a position in the Bena Rikashi Palace, but those who envied his success wanted him removed from power. It was not until much later that Suspiro saw the light in Kale's eyes go dark. After reading the Book of the Darned and learning of the Baklava system's impending annihilation, Kale wished to seize the opportunity and wipe out mankind. To eliminate his detractors, Kale and Biek Fowler took full control of the Space Police, leaving Suspiro powerless in his own kingdom.

Magical Starsign

On their quest to find the millennium gummies, the party was ordered by Brie Pourri to meet with Suspiro. In Bena Rikashi's palace, Suspiro told the party of his history with Kale, and his motivations for bringing forth the end of the universe. He also asked that they stop Kale's plans no matter what.

After defeating Kale and Shadra on the planet Shadra, the party briefly returned to Bena Rikashi to talk with Suspiro before flying their rocket back to Will-o'-Wisp Academy on Kovomaka.

• The Japanese name of Suspiro's ancestor Panna Cotta, クフ・イダ Kufu Ida, comes from 大福 daifuku, a Japanese mochi confection.
