Cardoon, also known as the Traveling Putty, is a character in Magical Starsign. They are a putty who travels around the Baklava solar system in search of putty peas.

Biography
Magical Starsign
Cardoon first appeared in Port Pescato on Cassia, introducing themself to the protagonist and Lassi as the Traveling Putty. They explained how the Baklava solar system was comprised of a sun, five planets, and Kovomaka on the far outskirts. Cardoon added that the people of Baklava used spaceships to travel freely between planets, and apparently, the most powerful ships came from Cassia since they could fly through Razen's scorching atmosphere. The students would continue to run into Cardoon in many places across Baklava. On Puffoon, Cardoon told them about the tempus forget's memory-erasing powers in Honey Mint, and on Razen, they observed the Starfall Festival in Paella.
Later on, the students found Cardoon at the Stone Stage in Shishkebab Cave on Razen. Cardoon exclaimed it was the land that the putties were searching for, declaring it the putty capital. They also invited the students to help their tribe by bringing putties to the stage. In doing so, new putties began populating the area, each singing pieces of a song that recounted the universe's creation. According to Cardoon, putties were born knowing this song since the dawn of time.
Trivia
- In the game's files, there exist sprites of a putty as a party member in combat. This putty could possibly be Cardoon, who would have joined the party similar to Bachelard in Magical Vacation.
