Emerald Core is a large metal apparatus consisting of a central machine, possessing a green-tinted screen that displays a woman's face. Encompassing the machine are several electrical wires and tubes, and in front is a small computer terminal.
Gameplay
When first visiting Rio Villa, the party must enter Emerald Core's room by inputting the code "AB80 → K305 → CB82 → 882Q → ZCBW → PO1K" in the Mayor's House, which is learned from Robot J9100.
The player can read Emerald Core's database entries on robotics and the production of artificial gummies. After gummy girl is defeated in Kahve Ruins, the party obtains an access card for Emerald Core. This unlocks Applepie's diary, a retelling of the Espresso civilization's history from the perspective of Applepie before she became the gummy girl.
History
Around 12,800 years ago, Emerald Core was built in Rio Villa by the Espresso civilization after they settled on Erd. Her purpose was to document the mission and functions of robots, but after the brownies waged war against the Espressos, the robots dominated Erd. Before and amidst the war, an Espresso named Applepie recorded audio logs of her time on Erd, which were archived in Emerald Core's database.
