Ancient robots, also known as ancient machines, are a species in Magical Vacation and Magical Starsign. They inhabit Benakoncha Ruins on the Light Plane and Rio Villa and the Kahve Ruins on Erd.

Profile

In Magical Vacation, robots are made of purple-gray metal with helmet-shaped heads and a red eye making up their entire face. Robots in Magical Starsign are similar, but their frames are bulkier and made of teal metal. In the Japanese version of both games, their dialogue is written in the Katakana script using Café au Lait Font, though sometimes they employ Kanji.

Around 12,000 years before Magical Vacation, a group known as the Espresso civilization traveled from Puffoon to Erd, hearing that the resident yogart gurus could travel to and from Nova, the "land of light". Led by Doctor Calzone, the group mistakenly believed the earth planet to have a path into the sun where Nova resided. When no such gate could be found, Calzone collaborated with the yogart archmagician Craaken to construct the Kahve plant. In this plant, they mass produced robots that operated on the AI program Ribbit Ribbit α (ケロケロ・アルファ, Kerokero Arufa).
