Bechamel is a character in Magical Vacation and Magical Starsign. He is a dwarf who originally works at Condimen Tower on the Light Plane, but joins Grenadine during his crew's relocation to Razen several years later. However, Bechamel is banished to Cassia after he and his team improperly use dwarven technology, and spends generations retooling space ships in Port Pescato.

Biography
Magical Vacation
The students could find Bechamel near Condimen Tower on the Light Plane. When talked to, Bechamel introduced himself as an average dwarf who kept an eye out for suspicious individuals. Later on, he altered the students that he heard strange noises coming from the tower's lower floors, but because he did not get his scheduled correspondence yet, he did not know what was going on.
After Magical Vacation
Around 80 years before Magical Starsign, Grenadine and his crew moved from the Light Plane to the Material Plane, where they established a new Condimen Tower on Razen. The dwarves eventually caught wind of the aquarino, a substance on Cassia that could not freeze nor evaporate. A team comprised of Bechamel, Oyster, Worcester, and Gravy traveled to Cassia with plans to utilize the aquarino in Grenadine's inventions. Before they could return to Razen, the sun's light and temperature drastically intensified, which enveloped Razen in impenetrable heat. The crew used the aquarino in their ship's cooling system to ensure a safe passage through Razen's atmosphere, but they were excommunicated from Condimen Tower for taking technology to Cassia without Grenadine's permission. Thus, Bechamel and the others remained in a hut in Port Pescato, where they modified and retooled space ships for the next six generations.

Nomenclature
His name comes from béchamel, a French sauce made from white rue and seasoned with nutmeg.
