Amigo Dungeon is a feature of Amigo Mode in Magical Starsign. It is a multiplayer mode where up to six players can compete with one another to fight exclusive enemies and win rare items.
Gameplay
Overview
When Amigo Dungeon is first selected on the game's title screen, the player can choose to create or join a group, which up to six other players may join via local wireless. By creating a group, the entry host selects one of three areas to play in: Will-o'-Wisp Academy, Carbonara Jungle, or Capsicum Caverns. The host must have visited any of these areas at least once in the main game in order to select them. Afterwards, the host chooses a time limit, ranging from 5 minutes to infinity. Lastly, all participants select a party member or egg character to represent them during the play session, after which the competition may begin.
Once inside the chosen Amigo Dungeon, each player will be by themselves without a party for the duration of the play session, but can physically see each other in the overworld. Rather than fighting in random encounters, enemies appear as shadowy figures on the map, and running into them triggers a battle. Defeating enemies and opening chests yields points, and the session ends when either the time runs out or a player opens the dungeon's victory chest. Depending on how many points a player has been racked up, the victory chest will contain items varying in quality.
All participants' names and points can be viewed using the top screen toggle, as well as a timeline of everyone's actions.
