History

Five years ago, the astro pirates settled on Gren and constructed Assam, located directly outside Yggsalad, the Holy Tree. Their invasion forced the resident salamanders to flee Yggsalad and hide in Salamander Cave. Under Kale's orders, the astro pirates began abducting magicians across the Baklava solar system so they could be brought to Assam, then transported them to Razen aboard their ship.

Trivia

• By repeatedly fighting the horde of pirates during the first visit to Assam, a glitch occurs in which the party can walk out of bounds. However, the player will no longer be able to interact with NPCs.

Nomenclature

Its name comes from Assam, a sweet black tea originating from the Assam region of India.
