Wild magic is a mechanic in Magical Starsign.

Profile

Wild magic is a term for magic that is used outside of battle.[1] It allows magicians to manipulate natural elements according to their starsign, but only if those elements are present in the area.[2]

Gameplay

By opening the pocket on the Nintendo DS touch screen and tapping a starsign, that starsign's respective party member will cast their wild magic. Each character's wild magic has a different effect on the field and may be used in certain events to progress the story.

Protagonist

The protagonist's wild magic depends on their chosen starsign. If light, it will cause all gummy worms in an area to retreat into their holes; if dark, it makes all gummy frogs in an area disappear.

Lassi

Lassi's wind wild magic summons a feathery gale, making sugarstars appear when cast near HP Pots.

Mokka

Mokka's earth wild magic causes the ground to shake, which topples all gummy frogs in an area.
