Diecast is a character in Magical Starsign. He is a human from Bena Rikashi on Puffoon, but was brought to Shadra along with several other magicians.

Biography

Magical Starsign

Diecast originally came from Bena Rikashi on Puffoon, but amidst the astro pirates' crusade across the Baklava solar system, he was discovered to be a magician and taken to Shishkebab Cavern on Razen. Kale and Chard activated the Stone Stage to warp their abducted magicians to Nova, then used a stairway in Phunnel Pit to enter Shadra and proceed to Chromagar Cave. Just as the magicians were about to be fed to Shadra the giant larva, Miss Madeleine sacrificed herself, allowing the sorcerer Carbon to lead Kale's prisoners away to Chocomilk Caves.

While the escaped magicians were hiding, the party could talk to Diecast. He presumed they were from Will-o'-Wisp Academy on Kovomaka, and asked if Kale had also been to that planet. If the protagonist answered "Yes", Diecast admitted he thought that there were magicians from Kovomaka who could stand a chance against Kale, but began to doubt so. If "No", he stated that calling Kovomaka the star of sages may not be an overstatement, mentioning how Kovomakan magicians such as Biscotti, Souffle Rainbow, Pistachio Maplewood, Vanilla Nighthawk, and Ganache Nighthawk were still around, and that such names were known by anyone who studied magic. Later on, Diecast told the party that Carbon was supposedly from Kovomaka, believing he was skilled at magic despite never seeing him use it before.
