Biography
Magical Starsign
After the students of Will-o'-Wisp Academy found Pico captured by Tropica Village's felins, they visited Durum's hut, where Durum scolded Semolina for putting his daughter Farina in danger. Once Semolina and Farina left, Durum whispered his plans to Apitos, explaining how he would capture all magicians and hand them over to the astro pirates, thereby keeping Tropica safe. Little did the students know, Durum was doing so in order to protect Farina, as she herself was a magician. Durum's plans eventually came to light, resulting in he, Farina, and Semolina getting exiled from the village. Durum would have Farina and Semolina switch identities, allowing the latter to be sent to Razen in the pirates' captivity while safely returning home with his daughter.
Overwhelmed by guilt, Durum smashed Farina's cherished potted plant, to which she ran away while still disguised as Semolina. The students later met Apitos in Durum's hut and were presented the shattered pot, though Apitos was unaware of the girls' identity swap. Following Semolina's sacrifice to become the wood millennium gummy in Yggsalad, Apitos joined Farina and Durum as they fended off against several pirates. The three managed to steal a ship and take off from Gren, only for it to disintegrate as they approached Razen. Luckily, they received aid from the dwarves of Macaroon and boarded a ship to Nova. There, they reunited with the students inside Sparklin Palace, where Apitos filled them in on his misadventures with Farina and Durum.
As the students prepared to warp to Shadra in the Starway, they were interrupted by Biek Fowler of the Space Police, having defeated him moments prior. Before he could attack, Farina cast a fire spell and forced him into his glider. She stormed into the Starway with Apitos and Durum, when suddenly, Fowler activated a dimensional bomb. Fearing it could annihilate the dimensional gap in which the Starway resided, Durum hurried out with Fowler's glider. An explosion echoed as Apitos and Farina ran off to investigate, while the students were quickly warped away to Shadra. Fortunately, by the time they returned the Starway, they found Apitos, Farina, and Durum alive and well.[1]
