Spiny moles are a species in Magical Starsign. They inhabit Mole Town Peatmoss on Erd and dig for gummy worms.
Profile
Spiny moles are small mammals who are commonly purple in color, with a gradient to bright pink at the top of their heads. They have blue eyes, pink claws and pink spikes down their backs. Their diet primarily consists of gummy worms, which they hunt for underground with their exceptional digging skills. In Japanese, they speak in a polite and formal manner, and their dialogue is exclusively written in the Hiragana and Katakana scripts.
The names of spiny moles typically come from various types of cheese.
History
The spiny moles existed on Erd for several thousands of years, though it is implied they never learned the common language until the Espresso civilization colonized the planet.[1] During the Espressos' four-year occupation of Erd, their leader Dr. Calzone employed Applepie to interact with them using her psychic powers, to no avail. Eventually, the moles grew to resent the Espressos and were forced to live underground,[2] until the brownies finally declared war. The robots built by the Espressos also turned against their creators, transforming them into gummies at Kahve Ruins to fuel their battery cores. The moles occasionally took battery cores from Rio Villa and consumed them, unaware they were biproducts of the fallen Espressos. Spiny moles capable of casting magic also lived in Peatmoss at one point, until they were all taken by robots and locked in Gumbo Gaol, where they were relinquished to the astro pirates for bira.[3]
