Bira (฿) is an item and the main currency of the Magical Vacation series.
Profile
Bira is a small bronze coin with the symbol ฿ on either face.
In Magical Vacation and Magical Starsign, the player can obtain bira through several means. The most common ways are by defeating enemies in battle, finding it in chests, or selling items. Bira is solely used to purchase items from shops, brokers, and other salespeople across the world.
History
At some point in time, bira was introduced to the universe as a common, unified currency. It became the primary currency of several nations across countless realms, which saw the discontinuation of most existing currencies. For example, the Light Realm's decor coin faded away due to the advent of bira. However, certain currencies were still used in some nations alongside bira, such as ignis coins and ventus coins in the Fire Realm and Wind Realm respectively.[1]
Trivia
- According to Magical Vacation rumors, 1 bira equates to ¥10 JPY (~$0.7 USD).
- The symbol for bira, ฿, is the same as the baht, the official currency of Thailand.
Nomenclature
Its Japanese name, ブラー burā, comes from ブラウニーブラウン Buraunī Buraun (Brownie Brown),[2] the creators of the Magical Vacation series. The origin of its localized name, "bira," is unknown.
