Gruyere is a character in Magical Starsign. He is a spiny mole from Mole Town Peatmoss on Erd, as well as the cousin and troubadour of King Gorgonzola de Formaggio.

Biography

Magical Starsign

When the protagonist and Lassi talked to Gruyere, he introduced himself as King Gorgonzola's cousin and personal troubadour, and sang praises of his ruler. Gruyere also cheered the two on as they set out to slay the ant queen, heralding them as heroes who brought peace back to Peatmoss after they won, and wondered what worlds awaited them beyond Erd.

Later on, Gruyere sang a song about the earth gummy, how it protected the planet, knew everything, and gave life. He also invited the students to hold hands and keep their loved ones close.

Trivia

• In the English localization, Gruyere adds that he used to call Gorgonzola "Gorgy" when they were small, which is not present in his original Japanese dialogue.
