The ant queen[a] is the second boss of Magical Starsign, fought in the Queen's Chambers on Erd.
Profile
The ant queen has a small front profile somewhat similar to the other ants, but has a very large, purple segmented body that glows towards the front sections. She has cyan-colored antenna, and a small pair of wings sprouting towards the front. She has two acid glands on her front limbs.[1]
Boss
Despite having the earth starsign, the ant queen does not possess any spells. Her physical skill ant acid deals damage to one member of the party. She also possesses lackey call, a skill that allows her to call two extra enemies, either soldier ants or magician ants. The battle begins with one on each side of her. On their turn, the other ants can use the skill royal feast to transfer the HP of a party member to the ant queen.[1][2]

This ant queen lives underground on Erd. She's selfish and violent on a good day. Catch her on a bad day and she'll sic her entire army on you without a thought.

The ants' queen who lives in the earth planet's depths. She is known for being very selfish, and goes berserk when she loses her tempter. Her subordinates have it rough.
History
Magical Starsign
Prior to the arrival of the protagonist and Lassi on Erd, the ants and spiny moles had been at war with each other for a significant amount of time. The ant queen created a large cavern system adjacent to Peatmoss, the underground town where the spiny moles live. There, she laid a large number of eggs, and was guarded by her offspring. She also came into possession of the diggy claws, a set of shovel claws that the spiny moles used to dig through hard rock.
When the protagonist and Lassi were informed of the problems she was causing for the spiny moles by King Gorgonzola, they ventured through the Ant Hole to face her. Upon defeating her and her lackeys, the two found the diggy claws and returned them to the spiny moles, allowing them to dig through hard rock once more.[1]
Trivia
- In Magical Vacation: When the Five Planets Align - Nintendo Official Guidebook, it is stated that the ant queen possesses the skill royal feast herself. In actuality, this skill is possessed by the soldier ants and magician ants that are present in the battle.
