Amigo Mode is the multiplayer feature of Magical Starsign. It allows players to connect their own copies of the game over the Nintendo DS's Wi-Fi wireless functionality. The United States and European versions of Magical Starsign can communicate over Amigo Mode, but they are both incompatible with the Japanese version.

In Tag Mode (すれちがい つうしん,Surechigai Tsūshin, lit.literally Pass-by Communication), two players will wirelessly connect and register data in each other's Amigo lists. Exclusive items are obtainable through Tag Mode, and their availability depends on the participants' protagonists' genders, starsigns, and in-game progress. Tag Mode is also used for collecting and hatching egg characters within Neumann.

Downloadable content
In the summer of 2006, players could go to DS Download Stations at select stores and download data through Tag Mode. Two events utilized this feature, those being the seigi sentaifigurines[1] and Miss Madeleine's Letters. A Tag Mode relay service was also held at Download Stations, allowing players to quickly register 100 Amigos. However, this service and the downloadable events were both Japan-exclusive.
In Amigo Dungeon (アミーゴ・ダンジョン,Amīgo Danjon), players use their characters to compete in one of three dungeons, earning points by opening chests, defeating enemies, and obtaining rare items.
The Amigo List (アミーゴ・リスト,Amīgo Risuto) allows the player to view each Amigo they have communicated with, as well as the registrants' protagonists' starsigns. Tapping on an Amigo displays the registrant's custom message, and when and where the message was authored. The Amigo book is obtained when 10 Amigos are registered, which teaches the no affiliation spell Amigo parade to party members.

Neumann the Magical Rocket will always appear in Tag Mode, even before the protagonist and Lassi actually hijack Neumann at Kahve Ruins.
