Spellstrike

Spellstrike[1] is a mechanic in Magical Starsign.
Gameplay
A spellstrike is performed by tapping on a party member while they are casting a spell, specifically at the moment when the starsigns encircling them fade. The timing window for performing a spellstrike will gradually become stricter with each spell obtained by a character. If the spell is offensive, a spellstrike will cause it to deal 1.5x damage. If the spell is a healing spell, this will cause it to recover 1.5x the amount of HP or MP it would otherwise.[a]
While a spellstrike can be performed for the neutral spell celestial swap, it has no effect on the magic points consumed when moving planets. Similarly, the input can be performed but does not have an effect on the following non-healing support spells: feverish might, minty freshness, parsley wall, mother's nest, vibrant dance, fresh drop, sparkling shield, prism barrier, and jackpot.

Notes
- ↑ The random number range for damage and recovery is recalculated after a spellstrike is performed, meaning that the results will not always be exactly 1.5x what they would have been had the spellstrike not been performed.
