Biography

Magical Starsign

When talked to, Taiko and his brother Fife expressed how bored they were to the students, as they were ordered to stay indoors due to Tropica Village's troubles with the astro pirates. After the students met with Durum in his hut, they could talk to Taiko again. He asked if they thought Farina was beautiful, and declared he was going to marry her when he grew up.

While the students visited Gren in search for the wood millennium gummy, the innkeeper Charango went missing, so Taiko ran the Nuts Lodge in his absence. Charango returned to Tropica after being rescued from Holy Tree Yggsalad, to which Taiko received word of Semolina's sacrifice to become the wood gummy. This left him distraught, as he refused to believe Semolina was really gone.

Nomenclature

His name comes from 太鼓 taiko, a broad range of Japanese percussion instruments.
