Let's Amigo Event

The Let's Amigo Event (レッツアミーゴイベント Rettsuamīgoibento) were two venues hosted by Brownie Brown after the release of Magical Vacation. Owners of the game could meet up and connect with other players using a Game Boy Advance Link Cable to unlock in-game bonuses. Ten photos were uploaded to Nintendo's Magical Vacation webpage, while several more were presented on Brownie Brown's website.
The first event was held at the Sofmap No. 4 Store in Nipponbashi, Osaka, on January 26, 2002, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a turnout of around 300 players. A second event was held on January 27 at the LAOX Game Pavilion in Akihabara, Tokyo, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a greater turnout of around 950 players. On Brownie Brown's website, both events were reported by the character Vespucci.

キューブ第1号だ。開始30分ちょっとだ。井上ディレクター早々に敗北。TrTranslation: First of the Cubes. It's been a little over half an hour into the event. Director Inoue lost early on. -
続けざまに第2号。これじゃお宝が…。亀岡プロデューサー撃沈。TrTranslation: Continuing with the second one. That's a treasure… Producer Kameoka's devastated. -
1時間ほどで第3号。みんなおめでとう！それにしてもジャンケン弱いな～…。TrTranslation: A third one within an hour-ish. Congrats to all of you! Nevertheless, you suck at rock-paper-scissors~… -
夜もふけてスタッフにもつかの間の休息。雨が降ってきてとても寒い！TrTranslation: Night has fallen, so staff can chill for a while. It's raining and very cold! -
あったか～いお茶を差し入れ。ありがとう！感動した！！TrTranslation: Waaarm tea provided! Thanks! How touching!! -
温かいお茶を手にすると雨もあがった。うーん、素晴らしい。TrTranslation: The rain cleared up as I grabbed some warm tea. Hmm, pleasant. -
大阪と言えばたこ焼き！一部スタッフはたこ焼きを食べましたよ。TrTranslation: Osaka's known for its takoyaki! Some of the staff ate takoyaki. -
最後のアミーゴ！時間ギリギリで間に合いました！TrTranslation: The final Amigos! You made it just in time! -
