Afterlife
The afterlife, also called the afterworld or heaven, is a concept in the Magical Vacation series.
Profile
In the universe of Magical Vacation, there are three possible outcomes when a living being dies. The first and most common is reincarnation, in which one's physical body and soul separate, and the soul departs for the Death Plane to be given a new body and consciousness. If one has been reincarnated several times and gained sufficient experience, their soul may be reborn into a star and manifest in Rakyūo, where they are guided to heaven by Blackcurrant and freed from the cycle of reincarnation. However, if a living being dies on the Death Plane, their body and soul are erased from existence, but can be born anew under rare circumstances. A hell afterlife is also mentioned, but any details about it are unclear.[1][2]
Various cultures across the universe have their own interpretations of the afterlife, as well as figures associated with it. The puppets and dwarves of the Light Plane believe in a god who has direct control over fate,[3] and have aided the Great Archangel of Light during a war in the ancient past.[4] The rabbits of Puffoon consider themselves bonded to the tree of souls that unites the whole planet, and that when they die, their souls drift to a temple in the sky built by their ancestors.[5]
