The insect spirit is strong against wood, but weak to stone and dark. For spells, insect magic hits single targets with a chance of decreasing enemies' power. Sesame Ashpot and Chappy use the insect spirit, and the protagonist can choose insect as their starting attribute.

On the field, insect spirits are disguised as swarms of flies, but are only visible if the player has the magnifying glass. They can be befriended with yellow worms.
