The name's Lance, but you can call also me Windsock. I'm a Canadian graphic designer and Kovopedia's editor-in-chief. Over here, I do a lot of translation/localization analysis of the Magical Vacation series, though I also write extensively on the games' characters and lore.

These methods of contact are preferred, since I don't respond to unsolicited DM requests on Discord or other social media.
My history with MagiVaca
It may come as a surprise, but I got into MagiVaca much later than most people in the English-speaking community, many of whom played Starsign in their childhood. I discovered the series after obtaining the Magical Vacation Protagonists Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate shortly after Christmas 2018. Shinichi Kameoka's art style immediately captivated me, and after watching a playthrough of the English fan translation, I knew I had to devote myself to learning everything about the series. This not only motivated me to self-teach Japanese, but I was also profoundly inspired by Kameoka's artwork, which led me to even more JRPG series like Seiken Densetsu and SaGa (side note, Legend of Mana and SaGa Frontier 2 are the best games in their respective series). I eventually got my hands on the Complete Guide in December 2019, and a legitimate copy of Magical Vacation in June 2021 for my GBA SP.
In February 2022, I started sharing my knowledge on the Magical Vacation Wiki on Fandom, which hosted a shallow amount of actual Magical Vacation content at the time. I had zero wiki-editing experience back then, but with Rman41's help, I got the hang of things and started developing the Vacation pages. I even got a copy of Starsign in March to learn more about that game, and expanded Magical Vacation Wiki until Rman and I left Fandom eight months later to begin developing Kovopedia.
So much has happened since Kovopedia launched, including but not limited to: translating the entirety of Magical Vacation's script, bringing the community together with a character popularity poll, and getting to stand outside Brownies' office building in Kichijōji during a study tour. There's still a lot more I want to accomplish with this series that's been in suspension for two decades, because it's become such a huge part of my life, and I hope you'll stick around to see it.
