Tortoise is an unused character in Magical Vacation.
Profile
Tortoise is a gray-skinned reptile with purple eyes and a droopy human-looking face. Its body dwells in a blue spiral shell covered in orange markings, from which only its head and legs protrude.
Gameplay
Before the creation of the magic bus, Tortoise was planned to be a companion who could carry the party across places the Dark Realm, mainly Muy Mot Desert and Ice Island. Shinichi Kameoka designed Tortoise after Nobuyuki Inoue asked him to draw a transportation vehicle, but the idea was scrapped along the way for unknown reasons.[1]
Trivia
- Despite Tortoise not appearing in the final game, its portrait sprite still exists in the game's files.
