Tortoise is an unused character in Magical Vacation.
Profile
Tortoise is a gray-skinned reptile with purple eyes and a droopy human-looking face. Its body dwells in a blue spiral shell covered in orange markings, from which only its head and legs protrude.
Gameplay
Before the creation of the magic bus, Tortoise was planned to be a companion who could carry the party across places on the Dark Plane, specifically Kumuyamuto Desert and the lake surrounding Ice Island. Shinichi Kameoka designed Tortoise after Nobuyuki Inoue asked him to draw a transportation vehicle, but the idea was scrapped along the way for unknown reasons.[1]
Trivia
- Despite Tortoise not appearing in the final game, its portrait sprite still exists in the game's files.
