Kovo water is implied to be a product of sponge gourds, though this is more explicit in the Japanese version. Before departing from Will-o'-Wisp Academy, the rocket says, "＞エネルギーじゅうてん開始　＞ヘチマ水じゅうてん９５パーセント" (>Initiating energy reserves. >Sponge gourd water reserves 95 percent.). In the English localization, this was changed to, ">Hypercoils warmed…and toasty… >Liquid-fuel injectors…loaded."
