Seigi sentai
Seigi sentai (正義戦隊 seigi sentai, lit.literally justice squadron) was an event in Magical Starsign. From July 20 to August 9, 2006, one of five figurine items could be randomly obtained by using Tag Mode at select Download Stations in Japan.[1] Despite the event being exclusive to Japan, battle data and localized names still exist in the United States and European versions of the game.
Gameplay
Seigi sentai consists of red hero, green hero, yellow hero, brown hero, and blue hero, representing the fire, wood, wind, earth, and water starsigns respectively. When a hero's figurine item is used on Macadameus, that hero will appear in the back row while the other four are positioned in the front.
Defeating each group will reward the player with a piece of the justice set, those being the justice helm, justice arm, justice suit, justice boots, and justice badge.
Trivia
- The seigi sentai heroes are likely based on characters from the Super Sentai superhero television series.
- In Japanese, each hero's name begins with "SP", suggesting they are all members of the Space Police.
- The order that the heroes are summoned in is always red, green, yellow, brown, and blue, regardless of their row order. This matches the order of the five main starsigns.
- When obtaining the red hero's figurine, its attached Amigo List letter reads, "Have you found enlightenment? I'm just about there." (さとり ひらきましたか？ ぼくは もうちょっとです。). The letter also states that the sender, Galette-san (ガレットさん), was "adventuring through outer space" (宇宙空間を冒険中) at the time of tagging. It is currently unknown whether the other heroes' letters had different messages.
