Physical resist is a statistic in Magical Starsign.

Gameplay

Physical resist is a hidden stat that cannot normally be viewed, and does not change as a character's level increases. Separate from the defense stat, magical resist is a value that augments how effective a physical (non-magic) attack is against an enemy.

All party members, for example, have a physical resistance value of 100%, meaning that magic damage inflict to them will be calculated as normal. However, for enemies that have 50% physical resistance, all physical damage inflicted to them will be halved, whereas 200% physical resistance causes physical damage to be doubled.
