New Here and Edit Request

Hi! As you can tell I’m new here. On top of that I don’t usually sign up for wikis; This is my first time, so it’s going to take me a while to figure out how the formatting and html stuff on articles work. I’m glad to be under you and your friend’s wing though, assuming you’re fine with that! It seems like you two admins are the only active users here at the moment. Must get lonely. Also, this is rather embarrassing, but I actually have yet to play either Vacation or Starsign! I should be getting a copy of Vacation in the mail soon though… I hope! I was also wondering how I could get a profile page like yours?

In addition, I have an edit request for the main page. It says towards the bottom of the page that Magical Starsign released in 2005 when it should say 2006. I think that should be fixed but maybe there’s reasoning behind that I don’t know about? You let me know what your thoughts are!

Finally, I hope I do this signature thing with the four tildes right… Hope to see you around, and have a nice day!

I'm glad to have you here! Don't worry, you nailed your signature haha. Thank you for pointing out the error on the main page, I appreciate it! I have fixed it now. To help you get started, you can visit this article on Wikipedia that goes in depth about WikiText, which is the markup language that is used on wiki pages. I got the game!

Hey! That’s right! I got Magical Vacation! I’m so excited to go on an adventure on Kovomaka! But I did have a question. I heard that there’s four softlocks in the game, and I don’t want to run into any of them. Are these in the actual game or is it just an issue with the fan translation? And if it’s the former, what are they and how do I avoid them?

Also, for the sake of making this at least somewhat related to the wiki, I was wondering how do I make talk pages for articles. There’s something that I would like to talk about in-depth ahead of time rather than making a sudden edit for.

Yo, it's Magic. In regards to softlocks in MV, they're only really present in the English fanslation. In particular, they sometimes occur when Blueberry uses her out-of-battle ability to translate the words of water people, who you'll find in Akvavit Castle, Moiroroto Village/Moiroroto Village, and the Death Corridor/Death Corridor. And if I remember correctly, there's a treeman in Treeman's Colony who softlocks the game when talked to. Those are the only ones I know of so far.

As for article talk pages. If you look above the article's title, you'll see two tabs that say Article and Talk, the latter of which is the talk/discussion page. Hope this helps! Magicwindsock (talk) 04:47, 21 January 2023 (UTC)

Another Home Page Edit Request

Hi again.

I am requesting that the Shadra link on the Magical Starsign section of the home page be fixed. It is broken because Magicwindsock moved the page a few days ago but didn’t change the home page to include the new link. This move also affected some pages, most notably the Dark Starsign page. Another thing I noticed is that the Dark page has its planet labeled as Nova and I was wondering if that was intentional because I’m not familiar enough with Starsign to know if that was a mistake or not. Also, on the five elemental pages besides Light/Dark, the element that should be in the ‘Strong Against’ section is grouped into the ‘Weak To’ section. I see it as this on both mobile and desktop versions.

Lastly, I was wondering if there’s a page listing all the pages that have yet to be created and need to. (An example would be the Let’s Amigo Events.) It would come in handy for future reference. MarsAdept (talk) 23:54, 21 January 2023 (UTC)

Broken Link

Just wanted to let you know on your citation addition on both MV series and game pages, the link to the original is broken and just redirects to IGN’s homepage. I’m not talking about the Wayback Machine link. You’re correct that it is fine and the same across both our edits. I’m talking about the other link, which is how it should look in the present. You pasted the url as it looked like in 2000, which doesn’t work in the present and is now just a redirect. I did it a little differently and found the article’s current url location. NIWA?

Hey, I was wondering how the attempts to become affiliated with NIWA are going. Is it looking promising? I browse their wikis all the time but I’ve never really looked into the criteria for becoming a part of it. MarsAdept (talk) 08:03, 23 January 2023 (UTC)

I can't share further information until I am messaged again by the organizer, but basically they were really backed up in terms of join submissions, which is why there have been so many wikis joining them recently. I suspect we will simply be part of that wave, but I don't know what the progress is as of now. They are aware of the request though. Rman41 (talk) 08:09, 23 January 2023 (UTC)

I can’t seem to access the Kovopedia server and it said I’m banned

My username is yoshiwoollyworld but my username at time of ban might’ve been either Yarn Yoshi#6286 or Among Us#4377. Would you be willing to look into why? I don’t ever recall acting in any way that caused the ban
