Unlike Tuoekat, the party is not separated upon entering Yekrut. However, it is advised that there is at least one open spot in the party so that the character Gummy Frog can be recruited at Yekrut 10. Enemies in this dungeon are either light or love-elemental, the former being able to inflict high damage and blind party members. Since neither element has a weakness, it is best to maintain support across the entire party, while also removing/comboing light spirits before they can be used by enemies.
Throughout Yekrut are chests containing pieces of the white set. Moreover, Yekrut 8 houses a unlimited supply of red frogs, while unlimited red worms can be found in Yekrut 9.
Overview[edit | edit source]
To progress through Yekrut, the party passes through warpgates leading to gigantic chessboards, with pieces that follow the real-life rules of chess. By interacting with the glowing green piece first, the player has to follow the other pieces' directional rules and interact with their potential targets, which in turn activates more warpgates.
Below is a list of pieces, and the directions they move in:
Piece | Movement |
---|---|
King | 1 square vertically, horizontally, or diagonally |
Queen | Any number of squares vertically, horizontally, or diagonally |
Bishop | Any number of squares diagonally |
Knight | Two squares horizontally, one square vertically; two squares vertically, one square horizontally |
Rook | Any number of squares vertically or horizontally |
Pawn | 1 square forward |
