Volcanera, known in Japan as Vulcaneira,[a] is an boss character in Magical Vacation fought at Forest Cave. They are an enigma with the power to shapeshift.
Profile
Volcanera is a bulky blue creature with two arms and tendrils along their lower body. Their skin is blue with orange markings, and several horns protrude from their back.[1]
Boss
Volcanera's spirit is Inky. They can use the dark spell mijote on a single party member with a chance to drain magic points. Their physical attack slug likewise hits one target. In battle, Volcanera stands in the middle of the front row between two lil ghosts. Volcanera is resistant to all status ailments.[1]

Biography
Magical Vacation
Shortly after arriving in the Light Realm, the protagonist and Pistachio entered the Forest Cave upon picking up Arancia's scent. To their relief, Arancia was inside the cavern, though Pistachio was quick to point out her unusual behavior. Arancia encouraged her classmates to wander further into the cave, which they obliged to. Alone in the Forest Cave, Arancia told Pistachio of how magicians could fuse with enigmas to unlock great power. However, before she could make contact with him, Kirsche and a second Arancia rushed in and stopped her. Kirsche warned the others that the suspicious Arancia was actually an enigma in disguise, forcing the enigma to reveal their true form as Volcanera. When Volcanera attempted to fight the students and lost, they warped Kirsche away to a secluded part of the cavern in hopes of using his body as a fusion vessel.
The three remaining students made haste to Oturan Village where they reunited with Ganache. They followed a tunnel beneath a villager's house to find Kirsche being tortured by Volcanera, to which Ganache demanded they stop. To the students' shock, Ganache proclaimed he did not come to save Kirsche, but rather, offered to be Volcanera's fusion vessel instead. As Volcanera rejoiced, Ganache tested their worth by casting mijote, miraculously killing the enigma in one blow.[1]
