History[edit | edit source]

The Dark Realm was born from the concept of darkness, surging with the power of shadows that brought together the extremes of nature. Such environments included thick marshes, volcanoes, jungles, and harsh deserts. While the Dark Realm was first inhabited by species such as treemen and pyrites, foreign colonies began to emigrate from their original planes to the Dark Realm. Felins arrived from the Wind Realm and settled in Tapioca Tea Village, while canins hailed from the Wood Realm and founded Masala Chai Village.

At an unknown time, the Water Realm was invaded by a horde of enigmas, causing the colossal water people to split into smaller bodies and scatter across various planes. Those who wound up in the Dark Realm gathered water from Spollacs Swamp to create Akvavit Castle, thereby protecting themselves from the power of darkness.[1] However, the dried-up land left behind came to be known as Muy Mot Desert, and dark forces consequently spread across the entire Dark Realm.[2]

This world is called the Dark Plane, sure, but there used to be rivers and lakes. The water people were so afraid of the power of darkness that they gathered all the lake water in one place, and ever since, the power of darkness has spread."
