Chardonnay Cheaptrick is a character in Magical Vacation. The late elder brother of Cabernet Cheaptrick and boyfriend of Vanilla Nighthawk, he is a puppet who specializes in the wind spirit. One year ago, he graduated from Will-o'-Wisp Academy and enlisted in the royal army of Kovomaka Kingdom, but was killed in action while fighting a monster.

Chardonnay confronting Vanilla

Three years ago, Vanilla returned from the Valencia Beach Seaside School, wherein she and her classmates were attacked by enigmas. Unbeknownst to Vanilla, an enigma had fused into her heart and caused her emotions to spiral out of control. Chardonnay expressed his concern towards Vanilla when she returned to Will-o'-Wisp Academy, though she said her power helped her cope with peoples' hatred towards her. Although Chardonnay vowed to destroy anything that turned against her, she bid him and Cabernet farewell before fleeing the academy.

Two years later, Vanilla succumbed to the enigma's power and it took full control of her body. Chardonnay, who joined the royal army, was sent to deal with the monster in Garbanzo, unaware it was actually his lover. She thrashed over two hundred soldiers, including Chardonnay, until Biscotti intervened and sealed her inside Chiboust Castle. Realizing the monster was Vanilla all along, Chardonnay asked for his body to be buried in a place that overlooked the castle in his final moments.
