The Abyssal Realm, known in Japan as the Plane of Death,[a] is a realm in Magical Vacation which governs the universe's laws of death and reincarnation.
History[edit | edit source]
When a living thing dies in the physical world, its soul transmigrates to the Abyssal Realm, passes through the Abyssal Corridor, and is reincarnated deep within Drazzig Grotto. Conversely, dying in the Abyssal Realm means perfect disappearance of the physical and spiritual body. However, if one is confident enough in death, their spiritual body may escape erasure, and be reborn in another realm as an entirely new being. Since this form would be unlike the previous one, the past self is technically considered "nothing".[1]
